Mary Conchita Cantorna, 103, of Keaau, formerly of Honokaa, died May 9 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired Mauna Kea Beach Hotel employee and Honokaa Senior Center volunteer who loved singing, dancing and entertaining. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Tuesday (May 16) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Graveside internment service 1 p.m. at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire; no flowers. Preceded in death by husband, Manuel Cantorna, and sons, Raymond and Mario. Survived by sons, Chuck, Marty, Morris, Manny and Richard; daughters, Jean, DeeDee and Gloria; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-great-grandchildren. Ernest Akira Kawakami, 80, of Kainaliu died May 4 at home. Born in Kainaliu, he was a self-employed coffee farmer and member of Daifukuji Soto Mission, Kainaliu Makai Kumi, Hiroshima Kenjin Kai and Kumamoto Kenjin Kai.
